Greetings from a rookie...

My first blog - my first post.

A friend told me that we needed a hobby, so - a few dollars later we started making jewelry. I wish Michael's took Air Miles cards - I would be able to fly anywhere in the world for free!

Debbie is a die-hard "scrapbooker" and she had tried for years to get me into it - I am more into the computer graphics end of things. However, last year I bought a rubber stamp, made my first Christmas card and it took off from there. I now have quite a few stamps, made a number of different cards, took a glitter course and now I am off and running.

Christmas I got a Cuttlebug and two sizes of Xyrons - my hubby says I am a "tool junkie"!

I look forward to learning how to use these and posting some of my efforts.

  5. Welcome to Blogging...I'm pretty much a Newbie at it myself as I got started with the help of a friend in November. I am using it only as a place to display my cards & creations. I too am a knitter, but have never done the "jewelery" thing.
I currently & for the past 24 years have lived in Calgary, AB. I do know the lower mainland very well though. Both my parents were from West Vancouver. I graduated from Royal Columbian Hospital in 1970. While there I became very familar with Coquitlam as that is where I spent most of my leasure time with my cousin, who lived on Thomas.
I look forward to getting to know you better & seeing all your creations.
